Dr Ash is both a doctor and a dentist. He gained entry to Cardiff Medical School through the foundation route, one of the most competitive pathways into medicine, where only 4% of applicants were accepted. He later completed postgraduate dentistry at King’s College London, ranked the number one dental school in the world at the time.
It all started at medical school. His housemate’s younger sister, an international student, was trying to get into medicine and struggling with the process. Ash helped her put together a proper strategy, and she got in. She then asked if he could help some of her friends who were also international applicants. Before long, more and more people started asking for help, and from that was born the necessity to start Future Doc.
Over the years, coaching more than 2,500 students, he kept seeing the same pattern. The students who got rejected were rarely lacking ability. They were treating each part of the application separately and hoping for the best. Nobody was looking at the full picture. So he built a system that does: the Predictable Offer Protocol.
